TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS
New students need to be registered with us before attending a class. All bookings and registrations are managed by parents through ClassForKids, our secure online booking system. This ensures we have important information such as medical or learning needs and emergency contact details, so we can keep every child safe and supported. All information is handled with care and stored securely. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
REBOOKING
Once a student is enrolled at New Malden Theatre Academy, their place is automatically reserved for each new term. We’ll always send an email with term dates, fee information and reminders, so you have everything you need and know exactly what’s happening and when.
CANCELLATIONS
lease note that once a course is booked, we are unable to offer refunds or cancellations. This includes missed sessions due to holidays, other commitments, sickness or injury. We appreciate this may feel strict, but consistent policies help us manage class sizes and staffing fairly for all families.
If you wish to cancel your child’s place at New Malden Theatre Academy, we require at least 4 weeks’ notice before the start of the next term. If notice is not given, a charge of half a term’s fees will apply. This ensures we do not hold places for students who are not returning, allowing us to offer spaces to children on our waiting lists.
PAYMENT
Parents can choose to pay ahead of the term via direct transfer or set up a monthly subscription through ClassForKids, our secure booking system.
LATENESS AND ABSENCES
We understand that family life can be busy, but because our classes build towards performances, it’s really important that children attend as regularly as possible. Missing sessions can make it harder for them to keep up with show material and may leave them feeling unsure or less confident on stage. We want every child to feel happy, prepared and proud of their performance, so we kindly ask that absences are kept to a minimum wherever possible.
EXTREME WEATHER
We’ll always do our best to keep classes running, but in the rare event that we need to cancel a session due to extreme weather (such as snow), we’re unfortunately not able to offer refunds for the missed class. We appreciate your understanding, as safety has to come first.
UNIFORM
We like to make things as easy as possible for families. All students wear a New Malden Theatre Academy T‑shirt, which costs £15 and can be ordered by emailing us. Pair it with black leggings or joggers, and your child is ready to leap, sing and shine.
For our dance and singing sessions, jazz shoes are recommended. We don’t sell these ourselves, but parents often find great options online.
SHOW FEES AND TICKETS
We’re committed to keeping New Malden Theatre Academy affordable for families and avoiding any unexpected costs. Every child is included in our shows as part of their regular fees, there is no extra charge for taking part.
The only additional cost is for show tickets, and this is only when we perform in a large professional theatre for our Gala performance. Ticket prices are kept as reasonable as possible and simply help cover the significant costs of venue hire and the licensed chaperones required for the event.
Our aim is always to be fair, transparent and family‑friendly.
ANTI BULLYING
New Malden Theatre Academy welcomes every child with open arms. Our aim is for every student to walk into class feeling happy, supported and encouraged. If we ever see behaviour that affects a child’s wellbeing or learning, we will always address it promptly by speaking with parents, and, if necessary, removing any behaviour that is unkind or disruptive.
Performing arts is for everyone, and children can only shine when they feel safe and confident. This includes showing respect not only to classmates but also to our teachers.
If a student or parent ever feels unhappy or concerned about anything, we encourage you to contact the Principal Kelly who is always ready to listen and help.
