ACTING FOR STAGE AND STAGE

ACTING FOR STAGE AND STAGE

Senior Acting

Year 5 to Year 8 (Ages 9-13)

Tuesdays 6:15-7:15pm

Our Senior Acting class is designed for students aged 9–13 who enjoy exploring character, storytelling, and performance through acting. Open to all abilities, this class provides a fun, supportive, and nurturing environment where students can build confidence while developing strong acting skills.

Throughout the term, students explore a wide range of acting styles and techniques, including work on plays, monologues, and duologues, as well as introductions to acting for screen. Classes focus on character development, voice, movement, and emotional expression, helping students to communicate clearly and perform with confidence.

Students are encouraged to be creative, take risks, and work collaboratively, while being supported in a caring and inclusive space. Skills developed in class are regularly applied through performances, workshops, and sharing work with peers, allowing students to grow both on stage and on screen.

The Senior Acting class supports personal development alongside performance skills, helping students develop confidence, focus, empathy, and a love of acting in a positive and encouraging environment.
